DriveSitter ist das ultimative Tool zur IDE-Festplattendiagnose und -überwachung. Auf Basis der bewährten S.M.A.R.T. (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) analysiert DriveSitter ständig bis zu 30 funktionsrelevante Aspekte je Festplatte und zeigt optional die Festplattentemperatur in dem Informationsbereich der Task-Leiste ("System-Tray") an.

DriveSitter erkennt zuverlässig bis zu 70% aller plötzlichen Festplattenausfälle vor deren Auftreten: Bei sich anbahnenden Fehlfunktionen oder Normabweichungen werden Sie durch verschiedene Benachrichtigungsmethoden wie Emails, Netzwerknachrichten oder Ausführung benutzerdefinierter Dateien alarmiert. Sie gewinnen dadurch Zeit, wichtige Daten rechtzeitig vor dem tatsächlichen Auftreten des Festplattenausfalls zu sichern und die Festplatte auszutauschen. Bei zu hoher Festplattentemperatur kann DriveSitter den Computer einfrieren oder den Benutzer warnen, so dass eine Überhitzung vermieden wird. Dies alles schützt sie vor plötzlichem Datenverlust.

DriveSitter verwendet sehr wenig Systemressourcen, läuft unmerklich im Hintergrund und stört Sie nicht - selbst wenn Sie aktuelle Computerspiele spielen. Die Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Berechnungsmethoden resultiert in minimalen Fehlalarmen bei allen Vorhersagen.
