Potete impostare la vostra applicazione per stampare su un file ascii, oppure lasciare che Printfil catturi l'output inviato ad una porta parallela, redirigendo automaticamente le stampe, anche se sulla porta catturata è fisicamente collegata una stampante.
Consente inoltre:
- anteprima di stampa
- includere loghi o sfondi memorizzati in file separati
- colorare il testo
- ottenere stampe in formato A4 orizzontale invece che su stampanti ad aghi a 136 colonne
- utilizzare qualsiasi stampante installata nel Pannello di Controllo di Windows, incluse USB, GDI, Windows-only e Virtuali
- inviare le stampe via fax (utilizzando qualsiasi software stampante-fax di terze parti, come Microsoft Fax o WinFax, oppure utilizzando una stampante multifunzione all-in-one)
- utilizzare font speciali (ad esempio i codici a barre) come se fossero normali stampe a caratteri
- esportare le stampe in file PDF, con o senza l'intervento dell'utente, anche cifrati e con passwd
- inviare le stampe via e-mail, con il Vs.client standard
- utilizzare un singolo, configurabile set di sequenze di escape per TUTTE le stampanti, indipendentemente dall'emulazione supportata (o nessuna, come per le stampanti Virtuali)
- stampe complesse in modalità RAW (inclusi disegni e grafici)
- archiviazione
- usare più stampanti in contemporaneo
Tutto senza modificare le Vs. applicazioni
Se sviluppate applicazioni basate sull'host (ed es. Unix) utilizzate su PC Windows via telnet, potete finalmente smettere di preoccuparvi dei problemi creati da caratteri di transparent-print o settaggi diversi per stampanti diverse. Vi serve solo un file system condiviso (NFS, Samba ecc.) dove memorizzare l'output di stampa.
