Rename-It! permet de renommer en une fois une grande quantité de fichiers qui peuvent être dans divers répertoires. Il s'incorpore dans le Shell de Windows (via le menu contextuel de l'Explorateur) ce qui le rend très facile et rapide d'accès. Pour renommer des fichiers vous disposez de divers filtres: Chercher & Remplacer (remplace une chaîne par une autre, supporte les Expressions Régulières et les Wildcards), Case (met le nom du fichier en majuscule, minuscule, etc.), Crop (ne garde qu'une partie du nom du fichier), ID3 Tag (pour les fichier MP3, lis les informations ID3 et renomme selon vos critères), ...
