Sie haben auch unterwegs Zugriff auf die Mails, die an Ihrem Arbeitsplatz ankommen: Mit dem NetMail-Client können Sie sich per Modem, ISDN, GSM, GPRS, TCP/IP, UMTS (CSD, V.110, X.75) oder auch weltweit via Satellit (Iridium, Thuraya) beim Gateway einwählen. Wenn im Gateway neue Mails für Sie vorliegen, ist eine automatische Benachrichtigung per SMS möglich.
NetMail kann das Windows-/Outlook-Adressbuch benutzen und lässt sich mit CapiFax und CapiCall zu einem Unified Messaging System (UMS) kombinieren, um Telefaxe und Sprachnachrichten als Mail weiterzuleiten oder um Mails als Fax zu senden. Mit einem am Gateway angeschlossenen Funkmodem können auch SMS-Nachrichten als E-Mail weitergeleitet werden.
NetMail wird als Groupware-Lösung auch anspruchsvollen Anforderungen gerecht: Themenbezogene Archive für Mails privat oder gemeinsam im Netz, Archiv-Suchfunktion, Instant Messaging, schlüsselwort-gesteuerter Autoresponder, List Server für Mail-Verteiler-Listen, automatisches Senden vorgegebener Dateien oder auch von COM-Port-Daten zu vorprogrammierten Uhrzeiten, heuristische Viren-Erkennung, regelbasiertes Spam-Filter. (NetMail bringt eine eigene Client-Software mit, Outlook u.ä. ist nicht geeignet.)
