Cryptic Disk 2.3 lässt sich sowohl zu Hause als auch im Büro gebrauchen. Das Programm unterstützt Mehrbenutzer mit verschiedenen Zugangsrechten, wie der Systemverwalter bestimmt. Jeder Benutzer kann nur mit entsprechenden Zugangsrechten auf die Daten zugreifen.
Obwohl Cryptic Disk 2.3 gerade für Festplatten entwickelt wurde, lässt sich das Programm auch mit Wechsellaufwerken wie USB Flash gebrauchen. Nachdem die Daten verschlüsselt wurden, kann auf sie niemand zugreifen, ohne das Passwort zu wissen. Nach der Entschlüsselung werden alle Dateien zugreifbar, u. arbeitet die Festplatte üblich.
Man kann Cryptic Disk 2.3 herunterladen u. ganz kostenlos probieren. Die Testversion hat keine Funktionsbeschränkungen, arbeitet aber nur mit Passwort "demo".
