Aha-soft IconXP permite editar los iconos y personalizar la apariencia del escritorio de Windows. Trabaja con el formato nuevo de iconos introducido en Windows XP (usa la transparencia suave y otros efectos visuales). El programa permite crear y editar iconos en el tamaño ordinario o personalizado, con la profundidad de color hasta 32-bit color verdadero con canal alfa 8-bit. Las herramientas de dibujo incluyen: reemplazador de color, seleccionador de color, aerógrafo, lápiz, pincel, bote de pintura, herramienta de texto y de línea, rectángulo, curva, elipse, marco 3d. Los modificadores se usan también para aplicar gradientes de color y relleno de ajedrez. Para iconos de Windows XP puede añadir efectos de sombra cayente y suavidad.

IconXP trabaja con los archivos .ico, .ani, .cur, .wmf, .emf, .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .xpm, .xbm, .wbmp, Adobe Photoshop .psd. Puede importar imágenes de capturas de pantalla. IconXP le permita importar, exportar y cambiar pizarrones de pintura para iconos.

IconXP le permite cambiar los iconos ordinarios de Windows, iconos de carpetas y personalizar los atributos del escritorio. Usted puede reemplazar, colorear y guarda los iconos de Windows de varios objetos - Mi PC, Papelera de reciclaje, Internet, elementos del menú Inicio, discos, carpetas de sistema y sus propias carpetas. Le permite ocultar o cambiar la sobreposición de atajos. También hay comandos que cambian el tamaño de iconos del escritorio y la resolución de color, y rehacen el caché de iconos.
