Chess Workbook is a chess training software based on the proven educational technique known as "FLASHCARDS".Chess Workbook's learning algorithms help you thoroughly master the study material. The program tracks your progress and focuses attention on those positions causing difficulty while continuing to reinforce areas of strength. This technique is recommended by one of the best chess book authors GM Lev Alburt in his book Chess Training Pocket Book.

For each training position served, the solver has to correctly make the moves up to the end of the variation in order for his/her answer to be considered as correct. The solver is just given up to 3 wrong moves per position. This makes Chess Workbook ideal not only for studying the middle game and end game but also the opening phase of the game.

Play the training positions against the built-in Crafty chess engine! The flashcard technique coupled with practicing the positions against a strong chess engine, what else could be better in mastering chess?
