Softros LAN Messenger è un sicuro programma di messaggeria in rete che consente di scambiare messaggi e file tra i computer mediante la rete corporativa (LAN, WAN, ecc). È privo di server, offre una soluzione per la comunicazione aziendale sicura, semplice ed economica. Oltre alla classica messaggistica istantanea, Softros LAN Messenger implementa una funzione di conversazione e di messaggeria istantanea amichevole all’utente. Tutto il traffico dei dati è protetto da un sicuro algoritmo di crittografia. Softros LAN Messenger offre la funzione di trasmissione file per facilitare lo scambio di documenti tra gli utenti. È possibile creare e gestire gruppi utenti nel proprio elenco utenti, dividere i colleghi in gruppi per ufficio o titolo. Per informare di un evento tutti gli utenti o specificati gruppi di utenti è possibile usare messaggi broadcast. Non si dovrà impostare e mantenere un apposito server di messaggistica in rete. Softros LAN Messenger è un'applicazione client stand-alone, permette di risparmiare sul server dedicato. Softros LAN Messenger non richiede una connessione ad Internet; funziona all’interno della LAN o WAN esistente, perciò permette di salvare la larghezza di banda Internet e di ridurre le aperture del firewall per evitare attacchi esterni e IM- worm. Gli amministratori potranno limitare in modo selettivo le funzioni di Softros LAN Messenger ad utenti normali.
