PyroTrans Description

PyroTrans ist ein Paket aus remote File-Server, Download-Client und Batch-Client (alle auf Basis des Eurofile Protokolls), das es ermoeglicht, automatisiert oder manuell Dateiein zwischen zwei Rechnern, die ueber eine Telefonleitung (ISDN oder Modem, Internet) verbunden sind, auszutauschen.

PyroTrans ist vor allem fuer Softwareentwickler und Systemadministratoren gedacht, um Datein zwischen Rechnern/Standorten zu uebertragen.

Die Serverkomponente PyroServer kommt typischerweise dort zum Einsatz, wo Daten anderen Benutzern zur Verfuegung gestellt werden sollen. PyroServer laeuft dann staendig minimiert im Hintergrund und wartet auf Anrufe. Ein eingehender Anrufer wird anhand Benutzernamen und Passwort identifiziert und kann dann auf das fuer ihn am Server bereitgestellte Verzeichnis zugreifen um von dort Daten zu holen, bzw. dorthin Daten zu senden.

Die Clientkomponente PyroClient ermoeglicht es, einen EuroFile-Server per ISDN anzuwaehlen und dann beliebige Daten mit dem Server auszutauschen, d.h. per Drag und Drop zu senden, zu empfangen, zu loeschen oder umzubenennen, vorausgesetzt er hat die notwendigen Rechte.

Die Batchkomponente PyroBatch erlaubt es, den Vorgang der Anwahl und des Sendens bzw. Empfangens von Dateien zuverlaessig zu automatisieren, z.B. um einen naechtlichen Abgleich von Datenbestaenden zu realisieren. PyroClient und PyroServer zusammen stellen eine sehr einfach zu bedienende Moeglichkeit dar, um Daten mit einem Bekannten, der ebenfalls ueber eine ISDN-Karte verfuegt, sehr einfach und schnell auszutauschen.
