Редактор AVI тэгов это небольшая, независимая от установленного програмного обеспечения, утилита для просмотра и редактирования информационных тэгов в AVI файлах. Поддерживаются три формата тэгов: RIFF INFO (стандарт Microsoft'a), тэги программы MovieID и IDivX тэги. Реализована возможность редактирования более тридцати тэгов, а не только тэгов "Автор", "Тема" и "Авторские права".

abcAVI отображает детальные характеристики об AVI файле как в форме дерева (структуры), так и в сокращенной форме. Программа распознает более 770 FourCC и TwoCC кодов и показывает полное название использованных аудио и видео кодеков независимо от того, установлены ли необходимые кодеки в системе.

abcAVI поддерживает одновременную работу с большим количеством видео файлов, может встраиваться в контекстное меню AVI файлов. Кроме того, abcAVI добавляет в Explorer всплывающие подсказки с характеристиками AVI файлов. В комплекте с редактором тегов поставляется плагин для Google Desktop Search, индексирующий AVI файлы на вашем компьютере, так что становится возможным искать видео файлы по текстам в тэгах.

abcAVI позволяет изменять FourCC коды формата видео, скорость воспроизведения AVI файлов и размер кадра видео.

abcAVI может импортировать информацию о фильмах из Internet Movie Database. При этом можно настроить какие позиции и в каком количестве импортировать из IMDb (более тридцати позиций).

abcAVI имеет гибкую систему создания отчетов по открытым видео файлам (текстовый, HTML, XLS форматы). Кроме того можно автоматически переименовывать открытые файлы в соответствии с тэгами и параметрами файлов.
